Uhambo x Dancey Dance Time
September 14th @ The Red Rattler Theatre

UHAMBO, A Journey to Africa is a new collaboration with Dancey Dance Time presented by Thuba Ndibali. Thuba Ndibali will collaborate with the Dancey Dance Time group for the screening of a short film directed by Thuba Ndibali followed by a talk unpacking some of the themes in the short film and cultural exchange about the Ndebele Tribe of Zimbabwe.

Dancey Dance Time is a newly established group made up of African Australian Inner West based artist who share a vision to combine their values for staying connected to their roots and acknowledging them as the foundation that has influenced their practise.

Le Prime Pop UP make available their range of original designs on caps, tees and signature African print Bum Bags. Its main purpose at UHAMBO, A Journey to Africa is the support & give a local label a platform to showcase the diversity of creators providing an interment apparel experience.

I had the pleasure of being the MC to celebrate International Women's Day 2018 Presented By Leichhardt Womens Health and Inner West Council at Petersham Town Hall on Thursday 8 March:

• Speaker Shukufa Tahiri, a refugee from Afghanistan who is now a policy assistant at the Refugee Council of Australia and is a member of Refugee Communities Advocacy Network
• Speaker Christine Robinson, Wirringa Baiya, Aboriginal Women’s Legal Centre
• Speaker Gisele Mesnage, born legally blind, Gisele’s passion is to bring about legal and other systemic reforms to create an inclusive digital society
